DENVER (SEPTEMBER 23, 2019) – On Monday morning, September 23, Denver Broncos Wide Receiver Emmanuel Sanders paid an hour-long visit to the students at McGlone Academy to unveil his second "Emmanuel’s Locker."

“Emmanuel’s Locker” is a community outreach program of the Emmanuel Sanders ES10 Foundation. Sanders presents a locker filled with sports equipment for students to a Title I school to use in their after-school sports who may not have access to some of the sporting equipment they need to participate and/or succeed in after-school sports programs. He can reach these students because of his foundation. Sanders started his foundation to positively impact the lives of financially disadvantaged families in the Denver-area. Since a young age, Sanders has always had a love and passion for the game of football, but he knew that through the game he could use his platform to make a difference in the community.

Sanders understands why his dreams and aspirations are a reality today. When Sanders was a kid there were people in his life that cared enough to inspire him through his education, provided him with mentorship and leadership and encouraged him to be his best, both on and off the football field. Sanders’ vision is to instill life fundamentals, such as perseverance, teamwork, work ethic and discipline, in the kids his foundation helps through the power of sports.

Emmanuel Sander’s was eagerly greeted by the students as he entered the auditorium. The locker presented to McGlone Academy featured athletic equipment donated by Adidas and funded through a campaign by American Family Insurance. Sanders also provided the school with a new ball cart filled with an assortment of balls. The students and staff were thrilled to have Sanders visit their school, and even more excited to have received this generous gift from and NFL star.

During the program Sanders’ spoke about his foundation and the effort he puts forth to impact the community. Students had the opportunity to ask him questions, which allowed Sanders to speak more about his own upbringing. Afterwards, Sanders posed for photos, signed autographs, and interacted with the students.
